Kustom 49 Plymouth Project(slackers cc)

Here is my budy Marios 49 Plymouth that he been working on for his son. Mario used to really be into cars but over the years things happen and things change. Once I got my 49 ford done I started to light a fire under him and get him back int the garage. This is the most fired up he said he has been to get back into a kustom in the last 25 years or more. Anyway here is what he has been up to lately. I just went over to his place last week to get him started on our first time version of a carson top.















oh ya here is marios black shoebox he built 20 plus years ago and my gold shoebox when it was freshly done last year

 

I used to see marios car as a kid and it always made me jump outta my seat. His car is a huge part of why I have my Kustom 49 now.

Thanks glad you all like it. We never did anything remotely like a carson top before so I was kind flying by the seat of my pants. I will defiantly keep update pics

 

Very Cool! Love the front end and the flow of the top although it looks like he will have a pretty sore neck if he has to drive it for too long. HAHA.

Have to say I am not digging the spider webs at all but it ain't my car so it doesn't really matter does it LOL.

I was really diggin' it till I got to the webbed fender.

 

Very interesting car. He do the br*** work?? The roof and chop look spot on. I`m with Frankie47 on the webs.

 

Boo webs. Yea everything else. Looks like alot of work in that the front clip... I dig it man.

 

Lose the spider webbs....you don't want them things crawlin out those holes...

I want to do the same with my 49 plymouth. The front clip is amazing.

 

I though it was looking good with the carson top, but that shot of the front end blew me away. Should be a cool custom when he's done. Keep us updated.
