Ok guys and gals...Next week on Speed Scene Live my segment G.A.A.S. will be about 1950 thru 1965 Orphan station wagons. Let's see your Nash, Rambler, Hudson, Plymouth, Olds, Pontiac, etc wagons. No Imports..Just god old USA Tin.

Not looking for the full size wagons. Let's look at the compact ones. The ones not scene often.

Examples would be small Ramblers or Nash wagons. Corvair, Tempest, F85, etc.

Stock or rodded, even raced would be cool.

Credit on air given to all that provide pics I use.

The show runs live at 6PM pacific time and reruns at 7pm pacific and then again in a day or so on demand.

Questions? Just shoot me a note.

    Thanks!!!

Here is a rare one. 1961 Pontiac Tempest Safari wagon. Has factory a/c, 4 cylinder & automatic. Picked it up in Tucson Az for 200 bucks!!! Car is keeping the 4 cylinder, adding a 200R trans with a conventional diff. Car is also being converted into a 2 door sedan delivery. Have a lot more pics but couldnt get them to load.

That one is rare, so rare I think I'd have a really hard time cutting it up. Wonder what it'd take to get a late 'Vette powertrain/transaxle in there...

  11. Hudson didn't offer any wagons after 1942. Don't be fooled by a Hudson badged Rambler!

It's been seen here, but my '60 Comet seems to fit this thread OK.

Looks a lot like the one CButcher posted. My brothers Rambler, drives it all the time. Gets a lot of attention, fun little car. I don't have on but I'm sure he has a pic of it pulling one of his restored vintage camp trailers.

So far you guys are showin some cool wagons. A friend in NorCal has a 56 Plymouth 2 door wagon with factory history. Doge Hemi heads on a Plymouth block. Love them. The Ramblers are so cool and that Corvair, Comet and Poncho are great. Keep 'em showing up. I plan on showing them this Tuesday night on speedscenelive.com at 6PM Pacific time.

More the merrier...Keep 'em coming. Wanna see some Ramble American wagons, Olds F85 too.

I thought long & hard about it guy!! But, at 6'4" & 260, I just dont fit into it as a 4 door. The coupe doors are 10 inches longer then the 4 dr fronts!! I have only seen 2 transaxle Tempest wagons turn'd into a 2 door & both were 63's. Have never seen it done to a 61-62 & never seen one as a Sedan Delivery. When I am done, it will be one of one & driven!!! No trailer queens here. My dailey driver is a 61 Tempest 2 dr Coupe that has over 500K miles!!! Wagon is going to be a long term project limited by the weather & $$$$$$

There are a couple of earley Tempest's being built right now, one with Vett underpinnings & one with 04 GTO drivetrain!

Yes...they give me ****, but at least it is all bolt on equipment, so if someone buys it someday and wants to run springs they can.....

Well, It's not a compact but you don't see a whole lot of these around. Here's a couple pics of my 53 Suburban I haven't posted here before.
