engine load leveler

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 1oldtimer, Apr 3, 2011.

  1. I put it on the garage journal too.

I've been on the internet for about an hour trying to find a wider leveler. I'm trying to find one at least 22" from chain to chain, but IF they give any dimensions it total overall including the handle. Anyone have some input.....

I'm looking at is the trans dapt 9099

I'd just warn you that something that's too long might result in firewall interference as you're dropping in the powertrain, depending on the vehicle, of course if you're doing something like a big six or a Buick straight-eight...

  4. I have one that measures 21 inches from chain to chain.
It is rated at 4 tons.
Is that about what you need?

  6. I've got plenty of firewall room, but that's always a consideration.

Looks sturdy, but with the 390 and C6 I worry about the old edelbrock intake not holding.

Also looks study but too tall, hood is going to stay on and the radiator/air deflectors are coming off.

yes, what brand is it and where did you get it from.

  7. Model # S-1131
    Central Machinery brand
Harbor Freight is where I bought it.

It is built heavy as hell,,should do whatever you want.
