We launch our first Sacramento Cl***ic Car & Parts Swap meet
    on Sunday April 17th - 6am-3pm

Given our success at moving the "Original Reno Swap Meet " to Arco Arena in August for '08. '09 & '10 ....

We decided to add one more date and call it the Sacramento Cl***ic Car & Parts Swap meet .... at the "Rubber Band Arena" -1 Sports Parkway
(sadly soon to be former home of the Sacramento Kings soon heading to Mickey Land )

we mailed out 30,000 vendor apps and they are pouring in ..:eek:

we hope to keep it to about the size that we had last August ... and
    MAINLY non-commercial vendors
(although they are welcome, we just charge them a few more dollars)

The sellers are coming in from WA, OR, NV, WY, AZ, NM, and many
    from LA too

you do not need to pre-register

just be warned cash only at the gates -

should be a lot of HAMB type cars & parts there :):)

plus a few Studebaker guys to round out the crowd...:D:D:D

I'd like to see 200+ project cars on trailers in the car corral..
when we created "project row" back 2002 in Reno,
it was the hit of the swap meet a "field of dreams "
it had the most traffic of the entire swap meet
and we did sell quite a few of the projects.

    • Spaces $30 (2 parking stalls 17 x 17)
    • Car Corral $30
    • General admission $6
    • FREE PUBLIC PARKING
    --------------------------------
and NOTE the Original Reno Swap Meet will be held Aug. 7th, 2011 at the Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento ...
Formerly Arco Arena AND NOT IN RENO!
(and proudly no affiliation with Hot "Exhausted" Nights in Reno)
    ------------
Also the California Auto Museum will again host a real moving CAM cruise thru the streets of Sacramento on Sat. Aug. 6th the day before our August Swap Meet.

Looking forward to it, I think adding an April date is a great idea. If it even gets close to the last couple Aug meets should be great.
Love the idea of the Field of Dreams. So many swaps ***** about cars on trailers in the cars for sale section. But it is the best way to buy them for me.

    a few last minute tips..

    1. all vendors/ car corral / and RV people MUST enter at the
    West Entrance off Commerce ..

    2. spectators PLEASE enter thru the main entrance ..

    3. there will be plenty of spaces available on Sat. April 16th after 5pm
and also Sun April 17th at 5am ... we have 11,000 spaces at this gigiantic location! ( please download the vendor app and bring it filled out to the gate .. and we only accept cash at the gate)

We are expecting huge crowds again ...:D:D

plan on a lot of walking.. and seeing lots of your friends .. and scoring some great bargains...;)

and remember we will do it again on Aug. 7th 2011 ...
call 916-955-8777 if you have any questions ..

RELAX no worries you are on the paid list .. :D:D:D:D

will mail out letters tonight BUT YOU DON"T NEED THEM

just tell them at the gate that you are pre registered -- they will have the entire list on them

and hand you your stuff wrist bands etc

then you can go to the next open row to set up

PLEASE WHEN SETTING UP DO NOT LEAVE ANY OPEN SPACES BETWEEN YOU AND THE NEXT GUY >> p*** that on to everyone .. (when that happens it makes the swap meet to hard to walk and expands it over to the overflow area ..):eek::eek:

of course this all works in therory till one guys decides not to follow the plan..

so far this am I have answered 43 phone calls ... and 99 per cent of them have the application in their hand ..

anyway Duane thank you for all your support and kind words ...

looking forward to drooling over your carbs and intakes

project row is looking way cool lots coming in to dream about

Just to confirm, I'll be bringing my dually and small 10' enclosed trailer, so I'll be buying two "spaces", which is actually 4 parking stalls, approx. 34'x17', correct? I plan to come in Saturday evening to set up, and won't be pre-registered

Just made my hotel reservations this morning! I have gone to the past 3 August swaps, and I have to say this has turned out to be one of my favorite swap meets in the Northern CA/Nevada area. Every year I have come home beat dead tired and with a truck full of great parts at great prices. Weather is looking to be nice, and is a great time of year for a swap after a looong winter here in Reno!!

yes that is correct 4 parking stalls, approx. 34'x17' will run you 60 dollars

gates open at 5pm on sat

if you come any earlier you be stuck in a long wait area

please bear with us the Arena is tough to set up for a swap meet .. we try to improve each year .. but it is a real challenge to load hundreds of vendors in thru one gate
(and yes the the original Reno Swap meet will be held in Sacramento again on Aug7th at Arco -or what ever name we end up with after the NBA meetings .
.and proudly no part of Hot Exhausted Nights or their T shirt & poodle skirt swap meet )

wow just heard that we were featured on the cover of the Sacramento Bee Ticket section.
we better order some more donuts.....

Buyers please enter the arena thru the main entrance ... parking is still free just $6 to get in Please stay away from the West entrance of Arco . it will be rather intense with car corral sellers and parts vendors loading in
