Any one know how to hook one up? Has blue box thing inside with 1 though 4 little switches, and on back aux, sig, pos, and neg. thanks
The switches probably makes it possible to change between 4,6,8 cylinder engine. Pos connect to a psotive lead from the ignition switch, Neg connect to ground, Sig connect to distributor points Aux?? May its for the light inside the tach?
I know someone here will have your answer. But you can always try www.stewartwarner.com I couldn't find the answer on thier site but you can email them tech questions.
The DIP switches are to select the number of cylinders. I take it that this is a metal-cased unit. The plastic-cased units are junk. I believe these have a rotary switch instead of a row of DIP switches. In any event, if you pick it up off the flkea market table and the needle DOESN'T drop to zero. DON'T buy it. It can't be fixed w/o sending it back.
