even though the pure stock cl*** can be HAMB friendly with 1960 and is american cars only, I am sure there there is a better place to get information and tips. i checked out racinggang.com but really isn't much in the way of technical advice and tips there. i have a rule list for the track me and my old man will be racing at, really looking for tricks and tips, rear end gear calculators based off best wheel size, ect so any off you racers have a good online resource
wjat kinda car you gonna run, the best ones aren`t HAMB friendly......i got a ton of tips and tricks for ya though, i spent 15 years of my life racing pure stocks from el cajon to mesa marin, and a few years on the local dirt racks too.....
.. Is the cl*** rules where you plan on racing say you have to use the early frame or can you use later units or fab your own??on pre 60.. 57 back chevys can be made to handle.. the X frames on 58 up need a lot of work to make handle.. the fords 54 thru 56 are the best. they have ball joints. you can make a 58 -60 work but the shape of the fram rails make the not work as well. A big problem is you will be replacing 50 year or older parts.. If you pm me with rules I will be glad to share my 50 + years of racing with you.. Bobby..
