Not yet, but I'm off all week. I hope to get a bunch done. I should have it fired here very soon. I also have my trans and 3rd member on order.

I'll post some pics and hopefully some video towards the end of the week.

I have some things to post. I bought 45* moon breathers but I really needed straights. I cut off the flange and made a new one out of 3/8 flat stock. I welded everything, sanded and polished them back out.

I also got my front shocks mounted. I have some F1 mounts that I wanted to use but I ended up just welding tabs to the cage.

I finished up the spring perches too. I had a friend of mine turn down and thread them. Then I could cut them off and drilled them for a cotter pin.

Tomorrow I start on the front brakes.

I made some progress on my front brakes this week. I wasn't thrilled what is offered for spindle mount wheels. One thing being they seem to be on the small side and second is the price tag. Now I've drove my friends car with a standard set and it stopped fine. So it probably boils down to me be a cheap *** pollack. So I decided to put together my own set-up.

I bought a set of Wilwood rotors and one Dynalite caliper at a swap meet. I needed to make hats for the rotors to fit on my wheels. I started with 1/4" aluminum and roughly cut a circle and bolted them to the rotors. I friend of mine centered up the rotors, bored a center hole , and cleaned up the O.D.

Once I had the rotors mounted I made a cardboard template for the caliper bracket. I cut the brackets out 3/8 steel. Probably overkill but all the bolt holes are tapped and I wanted some meat to thread into.

Now I have descent sized vented rotors and 4 piston calipers. I'm in this set-up for about $250-$300, including another caliper off of ebay, new o-rings, pads, and misc. It also doesn't hurt to have a good friend that is a machinist.:)

All right guys here's the video. First of all I want give a big thanks to my buddy Tony. He built the motor and came over to today to help me fire it.

I had a few problems nothing major. One carb is leaking through the casting!! The pulleys are rubbing together. Even after I elongated the holes on the water pump. I have a stock water pulley I'll switch out. Because I had to pull the belt we couldn't run it for long.

As of right now we couldn't get it to idle below 2000. Taking to Tony we might have to rework the idle circits. We will get a better idea when we can let it run for awhile. I thought it went well for not doing anything at all to the carbs.

Sorry the video doesn't show it from the front. My wife was trying to manage our kids and film it at the same time. When I get the other pulley on and its running better I'll get better video.

Anyways it was a great day. I'm super pumped, I can't believe the feeling sitting in it and hearing it run! That makes all the hard work so worth it.

Very tidy build. Nothing wasted, all business, excellent proportions and stance. I would love to line up beside you at Mokan. Well done, Sir.

Love this build. Congrats on the fire up. It sounds seriously nasty.

Funny how the first successful fire up will make you forget how long and hard you worked to get there or how tired you are the moment. The next moment like this will be the first time it moves under it's own power then first p*** and first full p***.

    Good luck with it.

Thanks, and no problem but it won't be this year maybe next.

You're right It's hard to describe the feeling wow!! I've thought about all those first things and can't believe how stoked I'll be running this thing down the track or the street. Hell yeah!!

Thanks for the compliments and support. I could barely sleep last night. Now I need to get on with finishing the rest so I can take it on it's first drive.

I've also decided to run it in bare metal this year. I figured if I tore it down to paint the ch***is and prime the sheet metal. I'd be down for too long. I better stock up on the Gibbs!!

Vendetta I wish I was that close to taking it for a spin! But I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

    Thanks Don.

Here's a better video I took tonight. I think she may be a little fat. Look at the raw fuel coming out of the headers.
