Maybe someone who knows the sellers could forward the link to this thread. It wouldnt hurt for them to see and read the reality. Sometimes people can't see the forest for the trees........

Good idea! Maybe if they read this and get more realistic in their prices they'll be able to sell those cars instead of s****ping them.

Some of those didn't seem that overpriced, under a grand for some of those pickup trucks seems fair to me. That early 'bird for $3500, granted it's a piece of **** but that's what they go for. And usually these types of sales are very negotiable if you've got cash in hand.

If that sale was around here I bet he'd have sold quite a few of those.

That early bird was made completely of bondo- the rockers, rear quarters, doors, lower fronts. No attempt was made to sand the evidence, it was rough as hell- looked like my 9 year old did it. Plus, no floors, no interior, no trim pieces, just a rusty shell. I've bought rough cars before, but this one? Not with my $3500..

Also, the sale was found by all in attendance to be way overpriced, and not to be very negotiable There were plenty of buyers there with cash in hand, and he could have sold it all. I'll submit that it wouldn't have been any different where you live.

  7. WOW! WOW! I'm so excited! This is awesome!! Thanks for the pix!!

    A couple things.....
    1. It looks like a fun Saturday to me, just walking around looking at cool old cars, doesn't seem like a waste of time if your having fun!

    2. I used to live in Huntsville, my family owned the HD dealership from the mid-80's til 1991 when we sold it. Then we opened up Nicholas Motormobilia, we sold old gas pumps, signs, oil cans, Harleys, old cars, etc. My dad's personal toy was a 1926 Model T Speedster. Well he and his wife got divorced around 1995 and we moved the shop back home to Colorado. His wife wanted the Model T, and begrudgingly she got it. The T was sold and went through a few hands until we lost track of it. That is until today.

This is my dad's old T!!

I could only find this picture of it (upper right hand corner in front of the shop @ 612 Pratt ave) in my haste this morning, its a mailer that we had showing the things we had for sale. This particular one was framed and used as a get well card when I blew out my back.

If there is anyway you could get me in contact with the guys running the sale I would sure love to catch up and find out what will become of the T.

(I would agree that the price on the T is too high - $7500)

I believe its a Fiberfab Jamacian kit car. They were kinda neat looking and made to fit three different ch***is, the MGA, the Austin Heally, and a VW pan. I always thought one with a 215 buick in it would be kinda neat.

I recently talked to the sellers of this stuff. He said no one bought their good stuff, just the rusty old stuff so they are going to have another sale day this month. They are planning an auction after that and he told me that they are probably going to crush a good number of those left that are in such bad shape. If their "good stuff" was more appropriately priced, it would have been gone already.
