    Steve,
Thanks for letting us be a part of the Round Up family again this year. It means a lot to us and we appreciate you making us feel so welcome in your town and especially at the event. I am a few miles from home now; I'll call you later.

  7. Glad you made it home ok. I left a message on the phone and since I never heard anything was a good thing. When we p***ed the ghost town I though how cool it would be too get a tour. Now my question has been answered. See ya at LA Roadster show.

    Well, I'm home.

3600 miles round trip with a few mechanical issues that were all easily fixed, thousands of photos, a bunch of new stories (Cynthia is tired of the old ones by now), new friends made, old friends made closer and a renewed at***ude. I am a lucky guy.

It wasn't easy to take the extra days off that would allow us the time to just wander out and back. But we did . I wonder if much would have changed at work by being here a few days longer. Probably not.

Fact is; I needed this. It has been a real grind the last few years. We have taken a few steps back in business and will need to work some extra years to make it up. This trip helped me put things in perspective. Nothing like being out on the road to square up my point of view.

I want to make this the last post from the road with a few random shots. I will reply to your posts and PM's later tonight when I get home from the shop.

Thanks to everyone for coming along on the journey; I really enjoyed reading your comments each day. And a special thanks to Ryan Cochran, founder of this little site he calls The Jalopy Journal/HAMB. It has become a conduit that connects lives all over the globe.

    Keep it up brother!!

    Sunrise this morning.

Back where I started; home. Time to clean up and head to work for a meeting. I bet they will be wondering what I am grinning about.

  17. Again, I LOVE your house! Thanks again for the grand tour of your trip. BTW, how do you protect that great van from the elements? Big garage, carport, huge car cover??

I am glad you enjoyed the thread. I am guessing by your HAMB name you are into Studabakers? Here are a few trucks we saw out in NM.
