I just scored a front and rear axle from a 48 pick up, complete with brakes and steering. I have a couple questions:

Can I just knock the kingpins out of the '48 front axle and swap the whole mess, spindles and all, to the "A" axle?

In the rear: Can I use the backing plates and then find a set of p***enger car drums to use? Or better yet, use my existing drums off the "A"?

    Thanks In Advance :D

Is the '48 Pick up the same as a '49 thru '52 F1 with paralell leaf springs?

    Ok.

Well, to answer my own question. By simple tape measure mathmatics, the rears will not fit! GREAT! Anyone want a complete 48 F-1 rear axle for CHEAP! :(
