  3. The car looks awesome. Hopefully it won't be too long until she's back on the front burner- Scott seems to be doing a good job with the Ranchero. Cool stuff!

Carey has resumed work on the exStreamliner... our agenda includes a hood, headers, restyling the pedals, & emergency brakes...

A thicker version was then made to support the hood scoop

I originally wanted a bubble but then that would have been more common on an aluminum hood and I wanted to stay with steel so a scope off a donor car that was the same vintage as the motor or older was my choice... It would be to easy to tell everyone - so lets hear you guess on my selection!

I shot a series of pixs from differant angles to make sure I liked the look and if it reflected the correct era

The full side view shots with and without a hood is a Photoshop pre-design... I'm sure the really one will turn out nicer as we progress... the top view hopefully shows just enough scope to suggest multiple carbs clearance but doesn't distract from the flow of the hood... opinions welcome (especially before the mod is permanent)

Can you soften the back corners ?

Maybe it looks different in person.

The donor panel still needs to be trimmed and blends better than the white poster board shows... you might appreciate the ol' school build shots... I'm slow at photo editing... I think he made it faster than my documenting it... until then...

Thom, That hood will really make your roadster. Scoop is simple - but just right. 55-57 T-Bird ?
    Looking forward to more progress.

Your right about the donor scope being a Ford product... but, I'm still curious who will guess it and the reaction when they do

The problem with bare metal cars, if you quit working on them - they rust!
