I was referred to this site by car club members. They said this is the place to "fill in the gaps" of questions they don't know the answers to! I am building my 1st hot rod. It's a 1930 ton and a half Chevy. But, not for long! I am only using the grill, fenders, running boards, and body from my truck. No hood or flat bed anymore. The plan is pretty simple. Build a 2x3x3/16 tube steel frame with an air ride front suspension. I am using a 1970 Buick Stage 1 455 motor, TH400, and a Ford 9". I have plans for a descent build on the 455. The cab's looking at getting chopped about 6" to 8". I already have most of what I need. But, there have been snags with the air ride idea. Not knowing what "bags" to use is posing a problem. I've seen a lot of rods that are similar to mine with air ride up front. But, not lately. So. I turn to those on here for ideas, suggestions, and guidance about this matter. It's all that stands in my way before I fab my frame. Thanks, in advance, for ANY help I can get on here! And thanks for having me!!!

Welcome from Texas. As far as bags, cheap 'ol Firestone Ride Rites and some engineering work well.
