Bob it with an A body. Keep it with a '32 body.

    Depends ......

Is it a Coupe? Roadster? Sedan?

    Does it have Fenders ?

If it has Fenders ........ Leave the Tank

    Fenderless ............ Bob it

It's tough to make a 32 tank look right on an A.

The tail on a model A body is level with the rest of the body. On a 32 the tail is higher. Trim up the tail on the model A and it will look better. Also might want to tuck the tank in a little tighter too.

I like the look of the 32 Tank. This is my Model A 28 Sedan with 28 Sedan Rails and 32 extension frame rails to hold the tank. I didnt build it, but I wouldnt change that part of it for anything.

    What are _YOUR_ requirements?

Do you need a back seat for the kids? Storage space for suitcases and tools? Do you need a big tank for roadtrips? If you don't use a '32 tank, what will you use? Where will you locate the filler?

Answer those questions and the best solution for YOUR application may become self-evident.

On my '28 tudor/32 frame, I'm bobbing the rails and putting a tall skinny tank behind the rear seat. Looks great plus room for four. :)

Fenderless = BOBBED, if the car is full fendered then the '32 Tank looks Ok.

  21. I've grown to really like a '32 tank on the back of a Model A. Do you're homework and check out how others have done it...there's a right way and a bunch of wrong ways.

Where you going to put itf you don't mount it back there. Tanks inside car with no bumpers on the rear spell death trap. I lost a friend who thought only about what it looked like and what his friends thought. His wife and kids would love to have him back. So would I. Don't fry your self.

But on the real BLOWN MOPAR, I'm going to use your point as a selling point. I do prefer the tank back there. Plus, it smells.
