Projects 49 coronet sled

. so im probably gonna re-do the sail panels cuz they turned out like ****,i put some black x's on the roof where i think the roofline looks a little too bulbous,so i'll probably try n blend that a little better with new matal

 

. i got started on rebuilding eddie's forhead, should get it wrapped up manyana

 

i love it how you're not worried to do stuff multiple times, which is something i do ALWAYS.

well,i didnt get much done today,but i did get the winshield area kinda redone.ok,i load some pics

 

.i also made some headlight buckets,not sure if they'll work,but im sure i can figure somethin out.sorry nothin too exciting today,i just wanted to get the windshield center out of my hair.might start on the tail-fin things tommorow

. thanks everyone!well i had to roll the car outside to turn it around so i could work on the back,im just gonna start on the back and work my way to the front.

 

. so i spent about half the day laying out and makin these tailcone things for the taillights,or maybe i could run the exhaust out of em?i dont even have taillights so im flyin blind here

 

. so i think after all that work on the tailcones,im gonna have to make em about 3'' longer,so when i go to blend them into the body,they'll taper into the bottom of the back of the fender.what kinda ****s about this,is i have no idea if this is gonna look good until i put like 12 hours of fab into it.if it looks like hell i'll have to cut it off and throw it away and start all over...too much fun!

yeah,posterboard will help for sure from this point,but its still kinda tuff ..i think if i lengthen the cones its gonna be good,i'll get the outside blended in,then i'll be able to tell what it'l look like.

 

. so i re-did the taillight cones and made em longer,i think its gonna work out better.i want to get the outside patch panels on the fenders on before i pull the fenders off for final welding.i started on one of the side panels,did the arch radius wrong after disobeying one of my own lay-out rules..so that was 2 hours wasted.hope i can get em on tommorow

 

It's starting to remind me of a wild kustom from the '60s ... keep it up!
