Took a while, but this thing is done...

Shitty pics, not used to the new camera.....

The first pic is a test fit for the panel I had to build to replace the one I cut off 10 years ago to fit the old deuce tank.

I've got a 3:89 gearset in it right now and it is WAAAAYYYY more bitchn than the old 3:00 single spinner.

I'm hopin' the change from 3:00 single spinner to 4:11s with a locker will take 4 or 5 tenths off at the Drags this year.

And damn, is that fucker LOUD!! Sounds like a fire engine siren coming from the back seat. I love it....

    See ya, -Abone.

A-Bone: Hope it gives you the results you're after. 5 tenths might be optimistic, but once you dial in just the right gear - it could happen...Let's see now - you'll need the highway gear for driving to B-ville, the long legged salt gear, the MoKan gear (and it's 1/8th mile counterpart, of course), and the stoplight bandit gear, and then there's the......

Until then, glad you dig the music (I love it!) and the look. Looks ultra-mega badass to me.....

  12. Looks good man!

  13. For a time..., the cost of a QC was out of this world and Hot rodders were always looking for inexpensive replacements and found that Ford 9 inchers were plentiful, cheap and relatively easy to change gearing.

But today the 9 inchers are just as expensive as a good used QC...!!!

In the past year many circle tracks in their effort to keep racing classes affordable have outlawed QC's in favor of the inexpensive 9 incher..., and now there's a bunch of QC's on the market with tons of gearsets for less than $800...!!!

For a moment I had 4 QC's available to me for less than $750...!!!

Max Gearhead took advantage of one of these deals and bought one of them for less than many "used" 9 inchers!!!

I think that we'll see more QC's on the street because of this rule change....!;)

What size bolt pattern do you have on there? I have a set of like new Hoosier Quicktime Pros on Weld Prostars w/5x4.5bc. I could let you borrow those for the HAMB drags.

  20. I dig it!

  21. I found out about the rule change from a racer from Indiana on Ebay and a racecar parts supplier from Wisconsin...!

I noticed many gearsets selling between $10-$50 and complete rearends for $700-$900 including brakes and spare parts.

My QC came with extra rifle drilled axles and Titanium lug nuts with Wilwood disk brakes with a 5 on 5 bolt pattern.

Max Gearheads QC came with Ford 9" axles and tubes..., basically he is setting his up to run Stock Ford drumbrakes and it should be a "Bolt on" application!

    Good luck on your search...!
