Now I'm sittin' in the parking lot hooked up to Humpy Wheeler's wi-fi...I saw quite a bit of early tin today...I was tryin' to buy a '39 Ford fender but I guess I wanted to pay LESS for a fender than I paid for the whole car!!! Is that asking too much?

I wound up buying some new Martin body hammers and dollies...man, they have a nice feel to 'em. I also bought a new flexible board sander with the removable rods to make 'em bend...I hope it works good.

One vendor had a '51 Chevy p/u frame for sale shortened to 108" wb with a Ford front buggy spring and parallel leafs out back..set-up for a hot rod...low buck and cool, too. Pretty smart guy.

    Time for a nap...

I was set up Thusday and Friday behind the Bumper Boyz trailer next to a guy selling 3M products.
I bought a set of SBC 57 Chevy fenderwell headers for $20.00!
Got me some Model A door handles and a deck lid handle.
Set of steering joints (cheap still in the pack!).
    2 steering wheels.
    Nice set of Dietz(sp) headlights.
2 Mid 30s Ford rear tail lights and mounts with a VERY NICE Tennessee Antique plate still attached.
All the hardware to make my Model A windshield swing out again.
A set of 49 Ford hubcaps for $5.00,already put them on!

I made a list this time and got what I was looking for, last time I didn't and got a great deal on some Beer Tap Handles and some duck decoys.

Oh yeah I did buy a cool old COX RC plane for $1.00 :D

I saw pix of that Scheib guy..he IS ugly...and look at the funky red paint he used on the Denise-Mobile (some guys are just plain untrustworthy!)...I missed the rains and am glad. This was a show I had wanted to attend for years and my schedule (and a Hamb'er "heads-up") made it possible. Thanks... ;)

I'm a brand newbie H.A.M.B as of saturday. I was there and bought a super clean, black '51 Plymouth Cambridge that has never been restored for $3800. There are no rust holes or rust on the body, only basic surface rust on frame and under the body. It looks like its been repainted. I am so excited about this car. I even drove it home. I don't know much about these cars but my gut tells me I got one hell of a good deal. Let me know fellas. I Love this board!

    Let the mods begin!

Was there on Fri and Sat. I just finished moving back to Florida and me and my dad got back in the truck and drove about 1300 miles round trip. The thing was huge we walked for 2 days stright and did not see it all. Picked up a cool metalflake helmet, a very nice 36 spare tire ring for $20, and the nicest 50 ford parking light i have seen in a long time. Also went to an open house at Fat Man on friday night it was cool and everyboby was real nice.

    Hey,

I just talked to the seller. He bought it at Charlotte on THURSDAY and is now trying to turn it. Asking $20K. It was definitely the coolest car there today... super clean underneath too. Too bad that original seller on Thursday didn't find a HAMBer looking for a car. A car that cool should have gone to someone who would APPRECIATE and DRIVE it, as opposed to someone who would "hope it APPRECIATES and DRIVE up the price". Just my .02

My brother just mede it back from there today. I just helped him unload all of the stuff he bought. He ended up buying a bunch of old vette parts and a rolling frame with engine and ****** off of some guy. He's run out of room in his shop. No place to work..... He has to layout in the gravel to work on his stuff.
