I tried searching here and on the internet for any car that had been painted with Eastwoods gasser green paint. I have been thinking about using that color on my "T" project as this summer I should be ready for paint, but I wanna see some full cars done in it first. Hopefully someone out there has one painted that color. -Jordan
I am thinking about that color for my T track roadster hope someone shows us a couple. I like green cause there used to be so few of them because of superstition also gonna put number 13 on side I think. and have lots of peanut shells.
yaknow, i'd like to drive a green car with the number 13 on it, sponsored by popeyes chicken, and planters think anyone would race if i showed up with a car like that? might just win by default! lol
I hook 'em up with ya as long as I have time to get out of the shut down area before you get there it should be fine. I can't let you eat peanuts in my pit though. When I was little someone gave me a bag of peanuts at the races and I wandered back into the Ol' Mans pit with 'em. He run me out riki tic and told me, " Son I love ya but I don't love ya that much." So you do understand don't ya.
Green is bad luck. Peanuts, chicken an cars numbered 13 too Green color and bananas on a boat is too. Boats get pissed, I'm telling ya.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
yes sir, i does. yeah buddy. i'll tell ya what, i might have the balls to run a green car with mister peanut on the hood an 13 on the door, but i aint no way in hell eatin no peanuts in my pit no how, same fer the yard bird... i aint THAT ballsy!
This is pretty funny. I've heard about the green, and the 13, but never anything about peanuts or chicken! Guess I'm too young, or should I say "green?"
Stacey Davids on gearz tv did a PPG paint that is cool, him and the guys from PPG made it for the rat roaster its a good looking green watch this and see what u think http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOekoSwAin8
You can look for a early 2000 Jeep green used on the wranglers or Honda Del Sols both very similar to the green you are looking at and you can support your local paint store. Good Luck
Stacey's Brookville roadster is really nice looking . I understand the green & #13 but what do peanuts and bananas have to do with anything ? I had a friend in my teen years that had a new yellow 340 Duster that was very fast and called it "The Hot Banana" with a drawing of one on the quarters ! I would race a green car with the #13 on the doors with bananas and peanuts but NO ONE better break the mirrors ! Seriously I am not superstitious at all ! Retro Jim
Since when is green bad luck for a race car... Ever heard of British racing green? Now green on a Harley bein' bad luck I understand was because some of the racing Indians were green and therefore bad luck for a Harley, well that's what I was told by an old grey beard. Ya don't eat peanuts around a race car.. they attract them crazy pink elephants! When I raced bikes I wouldn't put my helmet on until I was on the pregrid ...never wore my helmet in the pits NEVER!!!!
back to the gasser green, I to was thinking of painting my 30 packard this color.. but like you i couldnt find anyone that has used it yet...
i think the green on this thing is siiiiccckkk!! chrome base coat! lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpDE610NVMM
you would think with all the hambers here that someone would chime in knowing someone with a car painted with it. Im crossing my fingers that one shows up.
WHOA! I just checked out spectrachrome.com and they make a really cool spray on chrome. I dono how it works, because I always thought any spray on "chrome" was really hokey, but this stuff would be awesome on my wishbones and front axle.

i've seen it up close n personal like, and it aint bad... looks kinda darkish tho. specially when you hold a part shot with it next to a chromed part with... ya chromium on it lol
