I have a 23 T-Bucket that I was told was built in 98, with an old style look to it. We had a windstorm this week and the windshield was broken. When i removed the windshield frame I found previous paint under the red. Green Metalflake. My first thought was "this was not built in 98" it's older. So then I started really looking it over. I found that at one time in the past it had a leaf spring rearend (coil overs now). The frame seems to be a cut down "Model A", the front end is a dropped tube with an over the axle spring. Drum brakes all around.
I'm pretty sure this car was built in the 60's, which is cool.
Now I'm trying to find pictures of T's built in the 60's that were metalflake green ... I may restore it if I can find any.

Maybe a little more info would help. Like what part of the country did you get the car from? Is it a glass body or an original steel "T" body? Any additional details on the car might help ring a bell with someone.:)

IT's a glass body, with no serial numbers that I can find. I think the dealership i bought it from got it from Michigan. The present engine is a SBC with a roller cam, roller rockers, Vic. JR intake, 400 Turbo trans, big bearing 9" rearend with coil overs. HEI ignition, what looks like a Corvair steering box. No front shocks, dropped tube axle with springs on top (not behind). the steering arms are on there incorrectly in that the angle doesn't take into account the Ackerman steering geometry, so the steering is a handful. the frame appears to be a shortened, partially boxed Model A (channel instead of tubing). At one time it had a rear leaf spring set up (the holes are still there for the springs and the shocks.) It was painted metalflake green at one time (I would think in the 60's).
