I am a Father of the bride , 1940 Ply car owner..

IT will soon be in the wedding I wanted to use 3 1967 Lincoln horns (my Dad had a 67) hide them up frt ( hidden )

IF I disconnected the wire coming from the 6 volt (pos) relay and add another wire to the 1967 (3) horns will this be OK

OR should I do the same thing but buy a 6 volt positive inverter and put it before the horns ..

OR just get a battery booster 12 battery and run a separate horn switch for it

Thanks for the help aka " Father of the Bride............."

For a one-day-only thing, a separate 12v battery and switch will do the job. Easier to hook up and disconnect later.

I fully agree. Use a temporary 12 volt battery in the trunk or floorboard with a switch inline. The six volt system pulling 3 12 volt horns may have a sound you may not want.

Thanks that's the way I'll go .. (separate battery)

Now.... IF I remove the horn wire (from the lower steering column) to the relay.... I should be able to reroute it to a temp 12 volt relay , 12v battery, to horn right..?

This way I can still use the original horn ring on the steering wheel... Thanks again...

You should have no problems doing it that way. If the horn ring can handle a 6v system, it will handle the 12v easily enough.
