My latest car doesn't meet H.A.M.B. criteria.

Since the H.A.M.B. is geared toward pre 64 stuff, I don't want to ask questions here about the '71 Torino I just bought. Does anyone know of another site as good as the H.A.M.B. where my newest project would be more accepted? I want to talk to knowledgeable people about my car, but feel like it's too new for this site. :(

Thanks. It's a one owner car w/ 20K original miles. 351C. 89 year old woman just p***ed away and left it to her grandson who didn't want it. He sold it to me for $2350.:D

No, it had the original wheels on it. I've done a few things to it already. I'm going to pretty much keep it stock and original, but just sport it up a little bit. I even got all the old dealership paperwork, and the pink slip from 1971 with it.

Always liked the '70-'71 Torinos. Remember going to the Ford dealership to look at them when they first came out. I wanted my dad to buy one.

What transmission you got in that Torino? C6? I work on tow tractors (they haul the luggage cart to the airplane) and the C6 is still the transmission of choice.

http://www.dogfightmag.com/ Here's another site that is pretty well open to any and all http://www.hotrodders.com/ Some of the other guys on here are over there with their ot cars and trucks. A fair number of us do have other toys in the box besides our HAMB friendly toys we just don't get carried away discussing them here. Like the car by the way, that was one of my favorite post 57 body styles on Fords.

It's in great condition. Surprising considering how much those things had tendency to rust away.

Very cool car at a great price, enjoy..............

  22. You are absolutely right. It is a nice clean looking car though.

I'll just about bet that if you tapped in Torino in a google search there whould be lots of torino clubs etc pop up. Skulk awhile and see if they are about what you intend to do to your car.

I had a '68 plane jane that I really liked once. Torinos had good lines.
