Anybody know if anyone besides Flaming River repros the Corvair steering boxes? Any info appreciated.

Curious to know why you want a repop one, there's tons of used ones around, they go on eBay anywhere from $50-$200 depending on condition.

Unless I am looking for one, then they are nowhere to be found.

Hit any old junkyard, or keep an eye on Pull-a-part. I've found four in the last couple months, looking specifically.

They're NOT hard to come by.

No old junkyards out here, real estate is too expensive. The only ones left are hundreds of miles inland. The local yards handle only late-model stuff, and are very high turnover, if the "accidentally" take in something old.

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I like to put my hands (and dial indicator) on a a critical part like a steering box, plus the last one I purchased from a far-off yard looked like it had been dragged to me by the delivery truck.
