Aluminum Scoop Thickness

I want to build a Two - Lane black top style scoop for my 65 Nova, what thickness aluminum should i use?

I just watched that movie last week.....looked like around .062 as it flexed and wobbled all the time

 

What thickness should I use to stiffen it up a bit?

 

What fab capablites do you have? 5052H32 x .063 is somthing one can work easily but .080 not so much unless you have the equipment. Flexing is all about design. If you go overboard on design and incorporate hems and flanges, weld everything together it wouldnt flex but you word lose some of the rawness that the scoop as it was and its purpose.
