My Merc has '54 buick headlights which are made of pot metal. I saw a pair of these a while back in the parts cl***ified section and they were made of stainless steel. Does anyone know if the factory rings were stainless or chromed pot metal? Does anyone know if sst rings are available and if so were might I obtain them. Thanks
the 54 bezels are pot metal and the 53 bezels are stainless i believe. they also may be a different shape between the two years
Yup, '53 rings are stainless, but they are slightly shorter than the '54 rings and do not interchange without modifying the fenders.
