so the front is dropped 3 1/2 inches with fatman spindles, and the rear had been dropped 2 inches with jamco springs. i dropped it another 2 inches today with some lowering blocks. i think it's about right now. just needs skirts. and those should be here friday. so whatcha think?

Get the skirts and I think you'll have a killer stance. If you get a chance, Send us a couple pics for our website. We would love to add it to our gallery section.

Love it!!!! Looks really good man. After the skirts you just need some full wheel covers like '53 Cads or Sombreros!!! Nice!

i have some cad caps that i might try on the front. and i have those 56 plymouth caps that are a sort of homage to my dad (i think i already told that story a couple times.). and the plymouth caps are actually on it in the back in this pic, so you probably can't really tell. anyway, i am gonna try those first, but i am really curious about the caddy caps up front too.

    kids these days...

i wanted it low, but still very driveable. i think with the skirts i'll achieve that.

some steel flush fit aftermarket skirts from evilbay. they fit like the OEMs but come down about an inch and a half lower. should look good.

much better pics to come once the deluge outside stops. i'll even take them with a real camera and not my crummy phone cam. phone cam and fluorescent lights make for bad photos, i know.

I had some '55 Olds Fiestas on my '53 Vicky. The wheel centers protruded just enough that they contacted the back of the hub cap. Lost one turning a corner, (didn't scratch it up too bad) but I had to reverse the front wheel rims for just enough clearance.
The stock Ford wheels ('52-'56) are 5" wide, and the reverse offset was only 3/4" wider.

A friend had a similar '54 Ford wheel problem with Caddy sombreros. (gennie ones)

    That's a beautiful '54 Coupe. I'm on my 11th '54 Coupe now...

mike, my wheels are 80s cop car wheels, and are 7 inches wide. i haven't tried to fit the caddy caps on these yet. i know they were mounted on the stock wheels when dad got the car in 2000. but he got stock caps and rings when he put the new wheels on. so that's what has been on it since i got it in '08.

11th coupe? why not just hang onto one of them for a while? they only made 10,000 of them. maybe you'll have the chance to own them all someday...

    except this one, of course.
