Cool and fun thing you guys are doing.

One thing you should be sure to have is several fully-charged fire extinguishers within easy running distance of the pickup. Ask me how I know this.... ;)

  2. Yes... I know all the Poor Boys have small fire extinguisers, and I'll be bringing a larger one also... But if anybody else has a decent size extinguiser they want to bring with, we'd sure appreciate it...

I talked to HotRodHabit Skip last night, he started it up for a few seconds (with the oil and water still in it), he's gone a little nuts on it... it has a remote start switch and locking airplane throttle control in the far rear of the bed of the truck, and he made good on his threat of a semi-truck like exhaust stack behind the cab... It connects just past the Y-pipe... sounds kinda mean over the cell phone... This is getting a little nuts.

I lined out 4 sheets with 100 blocks each, times from 0:15 seconds to 9 minutes, 59 seconds, then one block for 10:00 plus (for times 10:00 to 19.59) and 20:00 plus.

  5. Shed a tear, MOPAR guys. :p

  6. Damn Skip, who is the sick ******* that made your avatar?

  7. The guy was a total ****! (van ****)

  8. Did anyone happen to get a good video of the rod throwin'?

  9. I want to thank each and every person who particpated in the Motor Meltdown... but there were so many, and I only have a few names that I know for sure:

Skip Cambre aka HotRodHabit and his Wife Michelle for putting up with this Tom Foolery.

Alan Galbraith aka Choptop and Melissa, for letting us do this.

My brother, Jeff Domke, for driving down from Atlanta and manning the booth all day while I worked with my Poor Boy brothers. We teased him unmercifully for 2 days about driving his '02 TDI VW Bug he runs on Bio-diesel... and then some great guys from NY asked him about it in the hotel parking lot, and he became the center of attention talking about his car... Which I thought was very cool... True gearheads just like cars. Period.

Hot Rod Ed from NY... Just amazing...

    Don Gould for being there.

My Poor Boy brothers, who let me check up on things every so often.

Everybody else who participated, especially the winners, who all gave back the money they won to help my sister and my niece Sydne... I can't say I was surprised by that, I know that that's what hot rodders do... They are just really good people, I wish somebody had gotten their names so I could mention them here, but since I had never done anything like this before, I didn't think to have someone get their names and I should have, they should get some extra recognition.

We're still waiting for somebody to post the video to YouTube or send a link. If you got one, please let me know.

So kiddies, here's what we've learned, a 1994 194K mile 318 takes 2:09 minutes to stop running when you don't have water or oil in it... Tell your kids and wives that when the "Check Engine" light goes on, shut it off!!!

Here's a picture of the escape hole some of the spinning bits inside were planning to use to escape:

  13. 2:09 minutes... He could see the tach from back there (you'll see Skip **** his head), and he kept it at 5K for as long as he could keep it there...

  15. How long have you been waiting to say "Skip", "****", and "head" in the same sentence?

  16. It's a change of pace on here... on FB, it's the exact opposite, EVERY sentence has those 3 words.:D

2:09 is a long time or at least that's what my wife thinks!! :D

Didn't someone do a small block chev on here a long time ago and it went 10 plus minutes? It was a professional though, so it can't be compared.

Hey Mike, Got the Stickers man! Awesome - Thanks, brother. Glad to hear you had a great turn out. Looked like a blast. The video was great. After I saw the head ****, I did fast forward through the first 1.5 minutes though :D
