    Hi,

I took a look around and searched for this answer, but couldn't find one. Maybe someone can help. I have 9 inch rear end big ford, 32 spline, 5 on 5. It has a disc brakes which are hooped. Everything is seized. SO I thought I'd buy a kit. The only thing wrong is that all kits provide for a 2" x 3.552" bolt pattern. I measure a 2 3/8" X 3.5" bolt pattern. Am I SOL for buying a packaged brake kit?

    Thanks in advance.

I have one of those rear axles out of a Lincoln MK5, has a different wheel bearing and retainer set up from my other 9 inch rear ends.

Do you think its worth resurrecting being that the flange is different?

  4. 32 spline? I know of 28 and 31 spline or 33 and 35 aftermarket.

I don't plan to do anything with mine. It's a real heavy duty set up. The axle bearings are cups and cones instead of sealed bearings and if I remember right they are adjusted with shimms under the retainer.

Every factory Ford 9" with disc brakes I have seen has the standard big bearing housing end bolt pattern with 1/2" holes.
