my buddy came and talked me into it!i yanked the wire harness out of the firewall and am gonna fill that now too, gesh its tiring lol.should be ready to paint dash and firewall this weekend then i can get to getting the motor back in!anyone know what kinda seats these are?i am hoping the plug is for heated seats...i tried to trace it but cant it goes to the back and then up where it hinges.im thinking its for the seatbelt alarm or something.also what is the wire off the porportioning valve?

the wire off the porportioning valve is a trigger for the brake light on the dash. this style looks like a 70's GM porportioning valve, if you were to pop a brake line the piston would jump to front or rear brakes only, depending on which line is leaking and the switch would be pushed in and turn on the light.....

oh thats what the valve body is on the front.so how do i hook that light up?is it a ground switch?light only comes on if the porportioning valve detects a leak...?

Yes the light should come on when detects any loss of pressure, like a broken line or a leaky wheel cylinder. the wire should hook up right on top between the 2 lines that hook up to the master cyliner. any 2 pin light should work one side is power and the other goes to the switch, when the little piston inside the porportioning valve jumps because of a pressure loss it will push the switch in and make the light come on letting you know of that there is a problem.......

by valve body on the front do you mean the little ****on? that would re-center the pistion inside if it had jumped at one time.......
