alright guys heres the scoop. Every top end gasket is leaking, timing cover gasket and all that jazz. Ive also got a edelbrock performer 390 manifold and some holley valve covers to go on. heres my start of the questions.

the valve covers have one hole in each of them, they are both the smaller ones for pvc valve. so what can I do for a breather that will be able to pop on and off easy so that I can add oil through it. Since im using the newer edelbrock intake manifold I will have to add oil through the valve covers, since it doesnt have the oil fill tube on the intake manifold.

Lasty where the hell can I get the rubber gromets for the pvc valve in one cover and then what every I end up using in the other. Im going to try napa today, but besides that I havent seen them in the chain stores.

Now over to the intake manifold. Im pretty sure I have most of it figured out. There is a bung on the end of the manifold, im pretty sure that is for vacuam. Then I found the bung in front is for my coolant temp sensor. Now theres the fitting where the heater hose goes into, so Ive got that figured out, but next to the hole where the distributor goes theres a hole thats threaded. What goes there? Its not on my old manifold.

check the "performance:rolleyes:" section at your local chain auto parts store for the gromets, they should have em hanging there with the braided hose covers and plastic chrome shift knobs. and yes that threaded hole is for the stock coil bracket, works good for a throttle return spring too

Alright so the unknown bolt hole is for mounting the coil.

I found a gromet for the pvc valve, now pvc wise would I be better running the hose to the edelbrock carb or the spacer below the carb?

And where are there valve cover breathers that don't look gay as hell that will work in the hole in the picture above?

Anyone know of breathers that fit in pvc sized holes that look decent?

Some early 70's cars used a plain rubber plug that should work.
Also google up "push in breather" Moroso makes several and so do others.
