Taught high school shop in North Royalton in the late 70's. On my ride in (some road near the Metro Parks) sat this Fronty racer in the front yard of a run down property. Stopped on a number of occasions and never anyone home. Took these pictures. Later it looked like the car was moved from the front yard to the back, then gone. Left North Royalton and teaching. Went back a few times but could never find the car. Always wondered what happened to it. Anyone else recall seeing it? Thanks
Well ain't that just cuter than a bug's ear!??!! It would be nice to think that it was safely tucked away in somebody's collection or a museum someplace. I'm not sure why, maybe it's because the tires look fairly new and barely used, but I wonder if it might have spent a little time used as a parade car?
Fur Biscuit, I lent my patterns out to Les Schubert (in Canada), I'm guessing that you hang out at the Model T Ford Club of America forum so you may be familiar with him. He was going to cast up a number of them but I haven't kept in touch with him (I should). If you want to contact him, that's entirely between you and him. He has the front plate, oil pump housing and side drive patterns. Joe
You should post this on Josh Shaw's Sprint Car thread. All the old pros frequent that that thread (It's almost a web site of its own) and you're more likely to get an answer.
Can't help you, but am amazed how morons leave things like that out in the weather. Guy up the street from me has left a really nice 32 Fordor out side during one of the worst winters I can recall...and one door was open ( for a charger I guess). What is wrong with these people?
