Great opportunity that would be amazing, my only problem is that my experience is nowhere near the level that your looking for! While I have used those tools before, it literally is only once or twice.

Good luck finding someone to compliment your beautiful shop!

  7. Wow, I'd love an opportunity like that! Checked out your shop pics, looks like you guys have high standards and do fantastic work - everything appears nice and clean, a great draw for customers. I've got a decent fab and design background but I'm about 1800 miles too far north - make an unbearable commute!

This is an awesome shop and puts out quality work. I would love the commute, but I think I am too much of a hack to work there.

I don't want to sidetrack this too much, but..... How does the 4 day work week work out for you and the crew. It sounds awesome to me just wondering if everyone digs it.

Hi just saw your post for a metalshaper on the Hamb. I have a build thread that shows some of my work/how I think/plan & execute. If, after reading my thread you have an interest in my skills, please contact me.

The build thread is 'Inspired by Ed Roth, ...'
As the end of the build thread states I have since had to liquidate my entire shop. I am completely without bodyshop/metalshaping tools. However the skills/desire don't go away.

My wife & I are soon to be mobile (living in a motorhome). I will be purusing work as a welder or 'fill in the blank'. Tools can be acquired, I built a lot of mine while I was in my own shop, including a 'long-arm design, Helve hammer' Now that was a metal moving machine! If you look carefully at the end pictures for the back corners of the Cutl*** build you will see a very impressive reverse curve, fabricated using the helve hammer and the Metlmaster(American version of a pullmax) with a set of my pie shaped thumb-nail shrinking dies.

I also have an old ad on the Hamb for 'Desoto grille teeth' that I used to make from flatsheet.

Let me know if you are interested in additional conversation.

I am known on Metalmeet, but almost all of my posts were lost in the 'Great Data Crash' of a few years ago. A few may remember me on 'all metalshaping' too.

If your that busy with metal work projects why dont you farm the work out to a real metal shop, There must be at least a hand full in so cal by now? yes just a hand full! one that just does metal work? I understand the "we do it all thing" (in house) but if your backed up your backed up. just my two cents good luck.

there is no need to farm out the work.

we've hired quite a few people. they all seem to over sell themselves. just yesterday we hired a guy who said he could handle metal, body & paint. he only lasted 5 hrs. he was fired the same day.
