Bought a garage sale set of finned covers, #40-2600. No idea what they fit, any idea's. Kinda look like Ford FE? Thanks in advance!! Marko.

BTTT, one more try. Hoping someone is familiar with the part #. I don't have the equipment, skill or ability to post photo, or naturally I would. So,...no FO TOE, sorry MR. HELPER. Marko.

take a valve cover down to your local friendly momandpop auto parts store, and start asking for valve cover gaskets.....

edit: first, though, you might give us a few faint clues, such as "it has 3 bolt holes across the top, and four along the bottom, and they are all centered along the length of the valve cover". then we'd say "big block Chevy"...for example.

Well, I'm at work, the covers are at home. They have five bolt holes, two on one length, three on the other ( none on "ends"). One unusual feature that makes me think they are FE is that one corner of each has a slight "scallop", rather then typical 90 degree junction. I'll do the gasket game when I get the time. this is a 390, they have bolts on the ends....

what you describe doesn't sound familiar, I'd have to do some thinking/research. maybe you could do a rough sketch using Paint?
