That style was from the early 50s and into the 60s. 49 was, I think, the last year for the old square cab with twin windshields.

When Diamond T was absorbed by REO, the D-Ts lost their traditional cab (except on the big rigs) and were equipped with the old REO cab. Can't tell you how many years REO used it but that's what you have.

We used to have a '56 tow rig at work that looked something like that. Ours had fenders made from steel checkerplate tho' :D

I believe that cab is shared with IH well into the 60's on the bigger trucks.

That cab is the REO built unit. It was shared by Diamond T and White trucks after 1958. The IH cabs were used on Diamond T from about 1950 till 1958. IH never used that cab. As for fenders, REO used round fenders till about 1958, then they squared them off in the front after that. If you need info and pics, there is a website called
the Classic White Page. do a google search. There are pic albums on that site with lots to lok at to give you some ideas.

I've seen alot of REO's but I've never seen one with that bent windshield. That seems a little unusual to me.

    internatonal harvester:D

my pal has a 1950 diamond T and the cab had some damage to the doors. his mother-in-law had a 1951 IH out in the field with lots of good parts. the IH cab is the same as the DT cab, just diffferent fenders, hood and grille.

    Later:cool:
