upstate NY is lacking in shows like the Milltown rodz show or Jalopy Showdown , Syracuse has the Old Skool show at the Nationals , but from that we are stuck with cruise ins and shows that mostly have streetrods and muscle cars , how about starting to meet at this show , begining of the season i remember this show from when i was a kid and back then it was big for a one day event over the years attendance has gone down , why not revive it with some new cars customs, traditionals , the dreaded rat word , this is something that we all enjoy in upstate we seem to be spread around why not find some show to make a mark for us in this area

May 21st 2011, the MVCC aviation club is having a flyin with pancake bkfst. They are also trying to have a carshow along withthe planes. the event will be at the Griffiss air park, near the Upstate Flying club facility. Gates open at 9 AM.

This will be the first year of this event, so they are hoping to get a decent turnout of planes and cars.

The show in the shade is the annual Oneida lake region AACA meet. I believe thay have a couple of special interest cl***es, as well as the standard AACA judging cl***es. I don;t believe they would turn anyone away.

I just subscribed to this thread....I agree that any chance to get out in Upstate NY should be seized upon!

I went to the all ford show at long branch last year and was really impressed. I need to look into how to get a car admitted....I think it's time my '55 gets out and about!

the all ford show would be good but not all of these cars are fords , that is why i suggested the longbranch show , lance from the milltown show does a great job, along with larry from the latimore show , jalopy showdown , would like to see something like that here so some of the cars from his way make it here , if i can get justin syracuse to chime in we may have a start at something , i will see if i can find sparky from syracuse nationals he may have some insight on how to help this along

I agree. Syracuse is a great location. Very centralized with great Highway access from all directions. This is why the Syracuse Nationals has been such a big success. I suggested ( on another C.N.Y. H.A.M.B. FRIENDLY SHOW thread) that we all meet at the Syracuse Nationals this year and start brainstorming. It is hard making swift progress via message boards, etc.. (I.M.H.O.) . Keep in touch.

Amen to that. It was so refreshing to me when I went to the cruise in at the farmers market after i picked up my p***es for Nats last summer. Only one car i'd seen before, and that was Justin's old 'Stude.

Longbranch park show is cool if you're from upstate new york. If not, you'll be lucky if they judge or even look at your car.

not worried about judging as much as getting to see other peoples cars and projects , other than the old school roundup at the nationals there are no other shows in upstate ny like that , nothing like what lance has started in palmer or larry in latimore , would like to see a show like theres up here

    Hey all:
    Say just for your info.

There are a couple events that would be of interest to some of your crew.
    Links below.
    http://www.g***erracingseries.com/#
If you notice also there is a weekend race in 08/27-28 .
Reason I bring this up is something that always made me wonder. Why there is not a show at either the G***er series or the coming Gold cup race?

Would be nice to see a show there, plenty of room and you get entertainment. This is what they do at other events. If someone was interested they could contact the G***er Gang.

Also they have club race nights . Check it out its a great time.
Look at the "EMPIRE Wednesday Night Program & Pro-Formance Specialties Show Cars!"

    Here is schedule link:

Sorry to but in just wanted to p*** this along. Good luck with your show.
You could PM me and I could get you the contact.
    Thank you
    Luke
