    Beau - I have two of those old cast Iron B&S engines. There is a kick starter for that shaft that is next to the output shaft, I think you could make it go around that drive. I am making up a flywheel with the fins carved off, and a stainless steel mixing bowl fitted over to make it look like the flywheel to the Mustang motorcycle flywheel, I always liked the look. You can also eliminate the R/H flywheel and run total loss ignition, with a new one on the left side, just a simple disk, would look cool too. Love the large drive on the rear wheel also look vintage. The power is a little low on those early engines see if you can get the compression up, I have lapped the head in and used no head gasket that helped. The head will be warped but I just used a flat plate and some wet dry paper and lapped it flat, then lapped it in on the block. Have fun, Dave

    PS: I will follow your work, looking forward to hearing your comments.

    perhaps less time playing on your bike and more time paying attention and those coveted GMC 301's wouldn't be escaping Kansas for Nebraska.

    snooze = lose
