Found these yesterday on craigs list locally...I'm pretty sure they are truck headlights, just not sure of the year. Somebody converted them to H4 Halogen and painted the buckets with red primer then shot flat black over them and sanded thru for patina look...they were cheap...$80. The lenses, rings, clips, buckets look original...what have I got? Thanks.
sorry, I took them over to a Model A friend that has an original 1929 truck and his lenses are flat and fluted. These lenses are rounded. These headlights are also bigger than his.
Lenses just might have been switched in the last 70 years. The painted shells sure look like '28-'29 commercial to me.
They look like Chris's 33/34 Commercials but can't tell without the dimensions. I want a set... so if you end up selling them, send me a PM!
33-34 commercials The Deuce commercials are the same as the car only painted. They have the wiring connection on the bucket. Your 33-34s have the wires entering through a hollow mounting stud. They are my favorite early Ford headlights. My 34 came with the original headlights but are not painted. I may restore them someday.
The Deuce commercials are made from plain steel - I think the passenger car are stainless. I could be wrong but I have a pair of original '32 commercial buckets and they are definitely magnetic.
I agree but the shape is the same and if you painted the stainless car buckets no one could tell.(without a magnet) These are genuine Deuce commercials that I bought for this car. I wanted to have them pinstriped and I did. I try to use original parts.
