I just bought a 1961 Oldsmobile and need bumpers and other minor parts ive tried looking on the net and have not got anywhere. Can anyone guide me in a good direction ?
good luck with that! 1961 Olds parts aren't that common. your best bet is to start looking for a donor car.

Tough car to find parts for. I looked for 2 pieces of side trim for 2 years before I shaved the rest off, never did find them. Desert Valley in Phoenix had a few 61's, got some parts I needed but $$$. Of course shipping would kill you as well, wrong side of the country.
61 Olds is going to be tough because a lot of them got junked before the first gas crisis, that stupid Roto-Hydramatic trans blew up, or the frame rotted out, depending some on where the car lived it's life. Extremely scarce and I've been in a lot of junkyards over the years. If you find one, buy it and stash it, or strip not only what you need but anything you think you might someday need - and everything you think you'll never need, but will never be able to find if you did need it.
