Has anyone put Aerostar front springs in the front of a 60-64 Galaxie? The CC850 springs look like they may work in my 62. The Galaxie spring is part #8000 The Aerostar spring is part #CC850 <style type="text/css">p { margin-bottom: 0.08in; }</style> Here is the spec sheets. http://www.cl***iccarsprings.com/coil-spring-specifications.html
I ***ume this means nobody has done this. <table frame="box" width="80%" border="2" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2"><tbody><tr><td>Spring #</td> <td>Inside Dia</td> <td>Bar Dia</td> <td>Install Height</td> <td>Load rate (lbs)</td> <td>Spring Rate (Lbs/in.)</td> <td>Free Height</td> <td>Ends Type</td></tr></tbody></table><table frame="box" width="80%" border="2" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2"><tbody><tr><td>C850</td> <td>4.07</td> <td>0.75</td> <td>8.75</td> <td>1825</td> <td>605</td> <td>11.65</td> <td>ST</td></tr></tbody></table><table frame="box" width="80%" border="2" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2"><tbody><tr><td>8000</td> <td>4.03</td> <td>0.72</td> <td>10.44</td> <td>2555</td> <td>436</td> <td>16.42</td> <td>ST</td></tr></tbody></table>
Nobody that I know of. If I remember right you can use the springs out of a late 70's Granada for about a 2" drop on the 63-64.
I cut one coil off of each spring and that is supposed to net a 2" drop. I was hoping to find some new ones that I wouldn't have to cut. I will look into the Granada springs.
These are for a 75 Granada with a 302. The I.D. is all wrong. <table frame="box" width="80%" border="2" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2"><tbody><tr><td>8232</td> <td>3.88</td> <td>0.64</td> <td>10.5</td> <td>1900</td> <td>286</td> <td>17.22</td> <td>ST</td></tr></tbody></table>
Well I know I was told Granada, I don't know what year. Then again the guy could have bought his Galaxie with springs and could have made up the Granada bit. Sorry to have steered ya in the wrong direction.
I have 2" blocks in the back and a coil cut in the front. It should be pretty low. I did swap the 14" wheels for some 15"s.
