c4 help

Just bought a 77 ford Granada from a friend who had the vacuum modulator replaced because it was leaking atf into the vacuum hose.The tran`s shift`s fine but the shift point`s are way off(To soon)Can anyone help me with the correct color i need for my modulator.

 

Assuming it is a stock motor ? Any Vaccuum leaks ?

Cam selection (lack of vaccuum) and vaccuum leaks can effect shift points.

 

Shitcan it and send me the spindles for my 60 Raunchero!

Here's Autozone's listing. The V8 is different from the 6 cyl.
6 cyl is MV209 8 cyl is MV208

most new mods are adjustable, try cranking it up with a small screwdriver

 

check for missing modulator pin

 

bands may need adjusting too. how does the fluid look? how many miles on it? might as well change fluid and filter to be on safe side. original trans? when you sell spindles you can make some $ on rear end too -Ha!
