Hey guys, I bought a Fulton visor at a swap meet and I believe it is meant for a split window due to the center mount brackets. I have a 1949 f1 ford with a 1 piece windshield that I want to mount it on. Will it hold up to the wind with out the center support or is there a place that sells and adhesive chrome strip I could install on the windshield for this exact problem. I thought I had seen something like that years ago but cannot remember for the life of me who might carry it. Thanks for the help.

  2. I think you could make it work if you fab a mount that bolts to your roof in the center and extends down under the center of the visor; you'd have to have a fairly sturdy mount off your roof. An adhesive center strip wouldn't look or work IMO.
Tilting the visor more downward will also help, as it wouldn't catch as much air.

    Ryan,

My neighbor down the road from me has a '52 with a visor. He has a rod from the center of the visor down to his cowl. He said he originally had it without the rod but it blew off one day as he was going down the highway.

  4. This one looks legit and has a factory rod and bracket:

Hows it going Bob? I got the 49 out last thursday in anticipation of many warm days ahead of hot rodding. Guess I was wrong.
