Hi all, i have been around the HAMB site for a while but want to take the plunge and say hello. I have been building a 33 5 window coupe for more than half my life now and find most of the inspiration i need to carry on from the posts on this site. I have started collecting for other projects and will continue to get side tracked as this hobby often takes us down routes at times unexpected - but what an adventure!!! i am lucky to be surrounded by family and many friends into real hot rods and look forward to networking and learning from you all. thanks all for your posts it is great to see all of the local home grown support, i really appretiate your feedback. Over the Easter break i will be installing a completed champ q/c in the coupe and hopefully in a month will have it back on the ground, it's been in the clouds for way to long!!

Ahhh I think I just added this all up!!

I'm Alex- cruised up with Chris' matt black 'A' coupe and Frank's Baby Blue Deuce coupe for the Pt Fairy show in January. Did some cool bench racing with Tony over his Deuce Roadster!! A very cool weekend that will be in the books for good.

A few pics from that weekend... Hope you don't mind:

    Your '55 right?

That'd be you in the right-most corner....

Frankie's Blue Deuce, Chris's Model 'A' and your uncle Tony's Nailheaded and Flamed Deuce !!..... MADNESS !!

    Nice to have you on!

Next time you see Tony send him my regards.

    Take it easy!

wow this feels like i'm at a rod run that doesn't end!! yes Alex we met at the PF run and you are correct that is my 55 and not Hoey's old one as alleged in this site. I loved Chris's coupe - period perfect, how's Frank doing? his trunk lock still work? Rotroline- Funny story behind the Lance Sorchik rendering, i was firtunate to have spent the weekend with him several years ago and he used this same picture to hook up with me at Newark Airport. I have the same picture framed in my garage now.

Haha! Can't complain with that. Yeah I was pretty sure it wasn't Hoey's old Chebbie. I'm sure you said you brought it in from the states yourself.... If I remember correctly, Arthur from Relic Restos told me he did a Right Hand Drive conversion on Hoey's '55 in the 80's; yours is still left hook. Chris's coupe was very cool and period.... It's in the hands of a new owner who now owns a very period correct and pure traditional Hot Rod! Frank is doing well. He'll be picking up his freshly landed '47 Fleetline coupe from the docks any day! Like-wise with Chris, except a '48 Aerosedan. Chris' username on here is 'A BONED' and Frank's is 'rat bastad'. You can find them in my friends list on my profile.

    Anyhow, happy H.A.M.Bing....

    HC.
