    Once again I come to the H.A.M.B. community for assistance. We have been extremely fortunate in finding great cars here every year for the anual Eyes on Design show held at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford Estate on Fathers Day, and this year has been no exception with what may be the neatest representation of Rods and Customs to date. www.eyesondesigncarshow.com

    As stated in my earlier post, we are doing a "Stock to Rock" category this year. These are a lot of fun, as they show side by side a stock vehicle right next to a similiar modified Rod or Custom, showing the radical design changes and personalization.

    The response has been outstanding this year and this will be a large class, ranging from 1928, with a real barn-find 1928 Ford paired up with a chopped, slammed in the weeds Traditional Rod up to a 4-door 1959 Imperial which will be next to a radical chopped down '59 Imperial "Roadster."

    I have just a few "gaps" for the stock vehicles and for this to really work, we need pairs.

    I am in need of the following STOCK cars;

    1928-31 Fords; I need several, as we have several modified 28-31's this year.
    1932 Ford Roadster; to go next to a real beauty being built as we speak.
    1946/7/8 Ford; this will go next to VooDoo Larry's beautiful green Kustom.
    1949 or 1950 Mercury; this will go next to one of the nicest '49 chopped-top Mercs that you will ever see.

    If you own, or can recommend, a car for this prestigious (and fun) show, please drop me an e-mail; bashton426@gmail.com.

    Thanks;

    That is an EXCELLENT idea! I can't tell you how many times I've wished I could park right next to a stock '53 Chevy because most people have no idea how modified my car is.
    I'm sorry I can't help you but good luck on your quest.

    This would be cool next to a stock version. It's ready for paint now and will be done for the first of June.

    Doing pretty good and down to just a few. I still need a stock '32 and although I was able to find a 30 Roadster, I now need another as we have added another one to the mix.

    Also still need the 46/7 or 8 Ford stocker.

    Asuming we find these last three, that will make an awesome display of 10 pairs, 20 cars total.

    Many thanks to all who have made suggestions or responded.

    Found an outstanding pair of '32's, but will still need another stock one, as I now have TWO modified '32 Roadsters signed up. But then...we can never have too many Deuces!

    This group is going to really be cool!

    Still searching for the elusive Stock 46/7/8 Ford to place next to VooDoo Larry's wild ride.

    If you own, or know of one, and would like to be a part of a great show and a really cool group of cars, please e-mail me at bashton426@gmail.com

    THANKS!

    Hard for me to imagine you're having this much trouble finding a plain old 46-48 Ford. Have you tried contacting the local Ford/Mercury Restorers Club?

    1948 Ford Super Deluxe found!

    Seems quite a few people with stock Fords attend Motor Muster the same weekend.

    Actually had 13 leads for local area 46-8 Fords and all either had prior commitments or just couldn't do it for one reason or another.

    Thanks to all who helped me spread the word. We have 24 cars, (12 pair) from 1928-1959 for the Stock to Rock category. Going to be an impressive sight and most of all, just plain fun.

    Happy to say this is going to be a BIG class, with 26 participants. (13 pair)

    The variety of cars is really cool with a lot of very differant cars. Lots of unexpected surprises, indeed.

    Please consider attending the show on Fathers Day, June 19. A great show and an excellent cause in a neat setting. The Edsel & Eleanor Ford house will be open for tours, so bring the whole family for a great day of cars and history. www.eyesondesigncarshow.com

    Again; many thanks to all who answered the my call!
