I would think a '41 frame would be a little too big.

The frame is going to be trimmed here and there but as far as being to wide it isn't because I am trying to get some more room in the ****pit area.

I always seem to catch these posts months after they started. I'm glad I saw this today and I can enjoy the build from the beginning and not try to play catch up with 20 pages in one day. Go man go and I hope the KosmiKart sticks.

Thanks Triggerman, and I think "Kosmikart" is staying with it being we googled it and it does not appear to be being used.:)

  7. Love the concept and mock up. Have you looked at a 1960 Buick front fenders to form the front nose cone?

Here's another suggestion on the name too Joe, why not go with Kosmic-Art? Just like all of your sculptures,it's bound to be art in it's own right too! Crazy body lines to do a wild fogged panel paint job too, bet Norwell could vision up a few crazy ideas for you as well.....

Well here's a thought, how about '58-'60 Thunderbird tailights? There are six to choose from.

Your first sketch made me think of '59 Caddy front bumper marker lights stood on end for head lights. are you going to be able to put you and your son under that bubble?

Actually the car is going to be a little bit wider than I had first thought about it. The bubble opening will be 54" it should have plent of room in it if things go as planned.

I will do my best to update you guys and as for Plowboy I have picked at his brain a few times but I am not sure if he has seen this thread yet,,,,,,,,,,:D

  19. haha, yeah great minds think alike, '60 Buicks are cool cars and have some great design elements. Those '60 Buick tail lights look awesome

Another alternative are Australian Ford Falcons '60-67, there are few different designs and they are smaller diameter to the Thunderbird lights

Ok this is where I am at thinking of course.......I want this car to be semi cmfy so I am thinking of not narrowing it rather I will lay it over the rear allowing for more interior room and allowing to have a skirted effect over the top of the rear wheels. In the pick I have a 40 Ford rear with 10" wide tires and this is where the Caddy deck lid is as far as width on the rear.

The Sketch that I have here is a thought of using the 61 Imperial lights mounted in the cowl area :D . I have to see how wide they are when they are sitting side by side. Anyway thought are always welcome and appreciated..........Oh yeah the 41 in the pic is available if any one needs one:)

  25. here's a grille that might work with the 60 Buick front fenders...

  26. I would suggest you find someone that can make the bubble, Roth spent a lot of time
just making a mold so a gl*** company could form the gl***. Instead of the supercharger go with 6 strombergs with the new "injector" tops and 6" stacks.
