Once again I must say that is one cool truck. You are totally making me want a fleetside bed! Hey, PM me with the templates to put on the camaro front end you were talking about before the big crash.

 

here's the truck that inspired HIPs. it's my '59 apache short fleet custom cab. '61 chrysler bumper, camaro clip, 12 bolt rear, big window, 2 rib rader mags and wide whites. bellflower pipes, and dump tubes.

 

theres more pics of my apache in #5 issue of rolls & pleats, here's my '40 ford pickup, which I sold a few years ago.I put on a deluxe passenger car grille and customized the hood which took a truck hood for the back half and a deluxe pass. car hood for the front. It was my daily for a while, had '36 ford taillight stanchions and 38 desoto bumpers for a while.

 

last but not least here's my old '28 pickup that I used to haul stuff in as long as it wasn't too big. It now belongs to Japanese pinstriper Mellow, and doesn't look anything like this pic. He drove it to paso and viva las vegas.

Dan's absolutely right about his truck inspiring mine! A friend of mine went to Paso and brought back pics of the show which had dan's truck on it. i had a 59 GMC short fleet at the time and wasn't exactly sure which way i was going to go with it. Dan's put me on the right track. I did what money would allow to that one, but its this newest one that i really took off on.

 

Boy, it sure would be nice if that guy from The House of Rust would post a pic. of his truck...so I can actually get in touch w/ him and buy the damn thing!

54 F100 DAily driver w/cleveland 4v this car has towed more of friends cars then tripleAAA yadyadayada BBBBBB! Been at the beach startin to turn to rust - need to go thru it maybe we should have a HAMB "RUST RESURECTION"!

 

The 53 that I drove in high school. It went to the junkyard after I let it go. It came back to me for free when the owner of the yard was going to prison. Real nice guy. He's out now. I need to go give him some cash. He also told my dad he had a 235 for me.

Here is a picture of my 48 F1. Just took the maiden voyage last weekend. 172 miles without a problem. Engine and trans are 350/350. S10 clip and a 9 inch Ford rear. Heat and Air and Cruise Control. 17x 8 Hopster wheels.
