Anybody ordered the Wheel Vintiques chrome reverse OE style wheels from Summit Racing? They seem to have them at a great price. I'm mainly wondering what they look like in the center lug area. Is the plating/polishing good enough to run them without hubcaps? I want to run bullets and chrome lug nuts, or spiders, so I'd like them to be nice.

I ordered a set and sent them back. The lugnut area wasn't chromed well,
you could see the nickle plating. On the back side the welded areas were
    already rusting.

I ordered a second set directly from WV, they were***** also, so back they
    went.

I got two of mine from Jegs and the other two were drop-shipped. Chrome job was nice enough to run without caps. I went with spiders. I'm very pleased with mine.

And make sure they aren't dual bolt pattern. Unless of course that's what you want.

WOW! the responses are all over the place! Sounds like it may be luck of the draw as far as quality goes! I'm mostly concerned with the center area being polished nice.

I'm looking at the single pattern (4.5 Ford) 15x5 and 15x7 sizes in particular. I'd run them without caps just like Hotrod Mike's coupe.
Here's the wheels shown on their website.

    The 15x5's look nice,

While the 15x7's not so nice!

As you can see, quite a difference in the center quality, that's the reason for the post looking for what quality other people have gotten!

I built this steel 33 willys and wanted the Cragar wheels . I needed a 3 in backspace, Cragers don't come that shallow, Wheel Vintiques make a close look a like. I ordered them through Summit. After 2 months nothing happened. I went to a Summit rep. He called someone and chewed them out for takeing so long. Got them in a week in a half. That was a special order. So just depends on what your getting. Just watch your order. Satisfied with the look and durabilty, many wheelies and races. Mark

  17. I buy straight from Wheel Vintiques. I've bought around 7 sets and loved every one. The chrome around the lugs is very acceptable. Way better than someone else I won't mention. And that someone else ASKED ME how I'd like that area. When I told him I'd like it like WV's, he said I have their wheels in my hand and I'll match the quality. Yeah right. His looked like primer grey in that area

I'm running ford O.E 15x7 Wheel Vintiques on my t-bird. Chrome is good around the lugs, I run the push through bullets and bullet lugs. Couldn't be happier so far, plus i got them within 24 hours from summit.

I would like to set the manager of WV on fire. Total D-bag. Sold me 4 Skylark wires that leaked air through the spokes and had the balls to get defensive about the situation.

I bought 15x5 chrome oe wheel vintiques for my 54 chevy from summit with some american classic radials. Showed up fast and all my wheels look fine. Also running spyder caps.

I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again!

We bought 4 chrome OE style 15x5 last year from Summit and they showed up quick fit well and didn't leak when mounted.....That was last year :(.......Now we have one peeling chrome all over and one that leaks like a******. Warranty will not cover.

I got mine through Summit and am happy with them so far. As some others mentioned, the chrome around the lugs is plenty good as far as I am concerned to run without caps. Maybe some are better than others...

I just bought two 15x7 chrome wheels from WVs. Chrome looks good. Chrome isint what it used to be, EPA and all. If its done here in california I will be surprised if it looks good in two years.

I ordered some direct from Wheel Vintique and mine were very nice, though it has been a couple of years back. I ran mine without any hubcap.
