My car club (Skeleton Krew C.C.) and I are putting on a charity art jam June 25th 2011. It will be held at Hensley's Flying elephant pub & grill at 850 Tamarack Avenue Carlsbad, CA 92008. There will be a variety of art styles ranging from pinstriping to air brushing to graffiti. We are taking donations of pieces or services to be auctioned off at the end of the day with a portion going back to the artist, we also have some spaces left if any artists are interested in doing art live at the event. All proceeds will benifit Mrs. Lorna's special needs preschool cl*** at Santa Margarita Elementary School aboard Camp Pendleton. This pre school cl*** is a unique program that tailers to childern with all types of disabilities. It allows them to start school a year early so they can get used interacting with other children developing their social skills as well as helping them adjust to the grind of the school day. Many military families with special needs children get stationed aboard Camp Pendleton so that their families can take advantage of this program. The cl*** is moving into a new building for the next school year and the money raised at this event will go towards adapting the new cl*** room to the needs of the students in next years cl***.
