Nope, I'm able to re-use all the glass in the car except for the rear window. He's cutting down all the rest of my old glass and making the rear window new.

    Still need an intake bad.

Thanks! The hood sides are staying for sure. I'm not changing anything, except different wheels and tires (16's) and updated paint eventually.

You should come to Madison's Bar and Grill first Sunday at 10am. Lots of cool cars come out. I'll have the coupe there if it's not raining.

The guy I got it from is a purist. I had heard that he had heard I was hopping it up, and was pissed. I ran into him last night and he wouldn't even shake my hand or talk to me.

Funny, I just sold a full set of wide five wheels and drums. I like the look, but I think this car will have wires.

Looks great, but I think you'll find it pretty uncomfortable to drive in for any length of time. So, I'll be pissy and say I prefer a 3.5" or 4" chop. But, of course, it's your car. What seat are you using?

I'd also keep that green body with black fenders-very Model A. I'm currently repainting my '31 to a 1929 Balsam green with black-looks very similar.

  20. Shit if thats the case you'll never get any miles on that bitch.(rain-x??).....thats kinda the nice thing about down here we run 10 months a year and it slows down in the summer when its too hot........:D

Got the glass back from being cut today and threw it in. Fits really well. The guy did a great job, and very reasonably priced.

I threw a peep mirror on there that I had laying around. I think it looks pretty good.

I also put new plugs in, changed the oil, had my leaky radiator repaired and reinstalled it, new hoses, etc. Got her humming pretty nice.

I took her for a run after I put the glass back in though and it became apparent that I need to do something about upgrading the steering. Jesus does stock model A steering suck.. Really washy feeling at high (ha-35-40?) speeds.

Model A looks like it shoulda been chopped from the factory, great job and probably the most dramatic change for the coupe. I only wen 4 inches on mina and very happy with the look.

Thanks. It's a duplicate of an original '29 Ford color.

Great looking chop. I put about 4-1/2 in mine but wish I would have went 5. I know it sounds weird but that 1/2" makes a big difference.

What kind of a peep mirror did you use that fit on the door lip and let the door still close. I tried one of those but the door wouldn't close with it on there?

Also, sounds like you need an F1 or F100 box adapted to fix your steering.

Thanks. I'm not sure what the brand the peep mirror is. I can't get it to shut when the mounting screws are in it. If you take them out and let it sit on there, the door will shut and it will move the mount of the mirror to an angle that allows it to shut. For a permanent solution I'm going to grind down the thickness of the mount itself. Just haven't gotten to it yet.
