I promised some pictures of my 53 Chevy project. Here they are. Later I will try to post some pictures of an old body that nobody seems to know what it is.

Yes the bumpers are smoothed and the antenna is also frenched. I drove the car like this for a year with the I6 235. It ****ped out on me and I am putting in a 350 ( don't hammer me to hard, I had one sitting in the garage). I need to finish up the drive train and fix things on the front end (kingpins, bushings, springs, etc.) As far as color I don't know what I will do. I am painting at a body shop now so the possibilities are endless, but it will be simple and cool. Any ideas on color? I have new seats redone in white tuck that will go in it.

man....the possibilities....lately i'm starting to lean toward flattened metallics and kandys. it really shows off the body lines sweetly! if i had my way on the buick i would paint it a kandy lime gold or pagan gold. bright golds sure look sweet! did you smooth out your bumpers yourself?

They were already done, but pretty poorly, half the mount welds were broken off. Most of the frenching was done on this car when a bought it. One of the guys at the body shop has helped me go over everthing and fix what was not done right. I was thinking of a flat blue of somekind. I'm tired of hearing people here say it looks like the Jesse James car. As much as I like flat black I am probably going to steer clear of it this time.

  9. [size=+2]Glad to see the pics. I like the mods already done to the car. I noticed the original parklite/turn signal housings are gone.
