Ok I have my tri power on my Chevy 350 I can’t get it to idle crisp. When I drive up my driveway the car is going uphill on an incline the idle raises to 1000 rpm. When back down to level the idle drops to 450. It likes the uphill at***ude more.<O:pMy question is when the car is facing uphill will that raise the float? Or lower?<O:p</O:p
    <O:p
It seems as if it is running to lean…….when I close the choke plate slightly the idle will also raise.<O:p</O:p
    <O:p</O:p
When I stick my fingers into the throat of the carb the idle raises. So it seems to me that would richen the idle mixture.<O:p</O:p
    <O:p</O:p
While idleing when I block off the dumper carbs with my hand they seems to seal almost completely so that is not the problem. They don’t seal completely! I do feel vacc on my palm after 15-20 seconds, but they cannot be expected to hold a vacc.<O:p</O:p
I have the CNC machined aluminum bases that have lapped br*** ****erflies (NICE) <O:pThe engine:<O:pChevy 350 .030” over. <O:pFlat top pistons with 64cc heads 461's I think this is 9:1 compression ratio I can’t remember. <O:pIsky cam 465 lift 270 advertised duration. 112-114 lobe separation.<O:p<O:pAny help will be very much appreciated.<O:p

It seems that my idle air/fuel mixture is to lean.the mixture screws are adjusted to optimum rpm and highest vacc reading.

Im thinking the float level is to low, creating this lean idle mixture.

Facing uphill, slightly closing the choke plate or sticking my fingers into the throat up the carb would all seem to enrichen the mixture right?

So will facing uphill raise the float level? or lower?
