I have a 30 Model A cab that I am trying to put back together. The whole bottom 6" of the cab is gone so I am buying patch panels and hoping to fix it. The problem I am haveing is that the cab is so weak I dont know what the original size the door opening is. If someone could go and measure the dimensions of there door opening that would be awsome. Also a few pics of the bottom of the door would also be of great help.

    Thanks, Caleb

If you have the doors hung, it is better to fit the doors (even inner gap, close / open easy, overlap consistent) first. Adjust the rear body forward / backward / up / down to allow for this to happen. Cowl should be mounted first and square to the frame and / or structure.

I'm assuming you have no floor.

Once doors are fit then weld inner structure to hold the body together.

Many builds on this board to review.

    My two cents....Good luck.

Is there supposed to be a gap or does the lip of the door over lap the body

The door has a slight overlap over the rear of the cab.
