So I did a few searches on here and the other places and couldn't come up with an answer so I'm hoping some one can enlighten me. Im looking to drop my truck into the weeds. But I'm looking to keep the 8 lug stock axles don't know why just is cool hah. My plan was to send my I beam off to droppedaxles.com to be all re done. I was looking to pair this with drop leafs how ever all the leafs I find specifically say 3100 trucks. Are the shackles/hangers and pads different from the 1/2 to 3/4 ton trucks? Would it be difficult to bolt up 1/2 ton drop leafs in to my 3/4 ton? Any help would be much appreciated, I'm really lookin to dig into this truck this summer. Ive had it "farm fresh" for to long haha. Thanks for any help guys!

Have a local spring shop make some new springs with reversed eyes. Should be a truck place close to you.

There used to be buffalo spring but they closed , Im not sure if there is another reputable place near but I'll definitely have to look into that. Im hoping there the same as the 1/2 just a few more leafs or such in the pack. Does any one have a good picture of the 1/2 ton set up?

There were six leaves in my '55 half ton. I took three out for a 3" drop. I later added a 3" dropped axle from Sid's for 6" total drop in the front.

Reverse your own spring, make a pack with fewer leaves, save some dough.

Would the 56 year old springs be strong enough if I mono leafed them? One of the rears and one of the front leafs are crack in the pack as is. I have some old S10 leafs maybe I could run the stock 55 main leaf and perhaps one like helper spring from the s10 pack on each?

That's Mickey Mouse. If you are not going to use it for what a 3/4 ton is intended for then just get some new lowered 1/2 ton multi leaves. Check out Brothers Trucks and The Car and Truck Shop.

Front springs are the same on '47-'55 1st Series for 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks.

Call Posies. They should be able to tell you if the spring mounts are the same as a 3100. You might want to run a tape over your mounts so you can advise them of what you have. Maybe they have a product that will work for you.

I am running their 440A rear springs on my 54 3100 and consider them one of the best improvements to ride quality and handling I have made to the truck. This is after I had gone with the stock springs reversed and with a few leafs removed. Ride quality ****ed.
